Quick repair

ANOTHER stoppage this week—on the Huddersfield Narrow at Holme Lock (19E), but quickly repaired.

Both head paddles needed repair, so the navigation was closed yesterday to facilitate the work, Keith Gudgin tells us.

The stoppage was for just one day—yesterday 30th—with both paddles being repaired during the day and the waterway now re-opened.

With such a large number of locks on this waterway, and it being restored, paddles are a problem, so CaRT is to be congratulated on such a quick repair.
