Email: Which way?

I find it hard not to smile when reading about the cycling crashes on towpaths recently.

I can just imagine two cyclists coming towards each other at high speed and thinking 'if I swerve that way I might end up in the canal, so I'll go the other way'. So they both end up moving away from the canal and applying a little of Timothy West's best practice (In no circumstances slow down).

The obvious happens and both end up needing hospital treatment. Is this self education by any chance?

Surely we should encourage this behaviour, we would soon eliminate most of the problem cyclists.
