Trouble at Banbury

I too have had trouble attempting to moor at Banbury, [Oxford Canal] but was told by a fellow boater, when I finally managed, that there is a drug problem and those particular 48 hours moorings are a 'no-go' area.

 

It seems that CaRT knows about this, but the enforcement officers have had problems and keep well away, and you cannot blame them, for a man on drugs is capable of anything, and Keith Gudgin did well to leave.

I wonder though, that being threatened in such a way he should have called the police, as it seems Cart can do nothing about it, and it is giving the town a bad name.
