EA two days licence

I WISH to take issue with Ken Keegan's response to my price on the cost of an Environment Agency licence, writes Jenny MacGillivray.

I must however start with an apology, I said the licence had cost us £38.00, I was wrong it cost us £39.00.

Two days

The reason I understood that I had bought a two day licence was because that is what I asked for, and the registration certificate stated two days, see attached photo.

When I thought the two day licence bought on the 2nd would cover us till the 4th, we planned to spend the evening of the 3rd having a meal at the Isis Tavern, and going off the river at Oxford on the morning of the 4th. When we realised we had to be off the river on the 3rd we had to move on more quickly so we could leave the river in time to be sure of a mooring in Oxford. My husband is disabled, which does somewhat limit our choice of moorings.

No misunderstanding

If the lock keeper had said she thought we could manage with a one day licence as the rest of that day was free, and they cost £39.00 a day, I probably would have agreed, but then there would have been no misunderstanding, I would have known we had a one day licence.
