There is no con with regard to the Environment Agency licence, what they actually bought for £38.00 is a one day licence which covers two days.

[This refers to the article by a boater who understood she was buying a two days licence (EA licence con) but found it was time limited.]

The licence should run from midnight to midnight but because you can't buy one at midnight you get all of the remainder of the first day free and pay from midnight on the first day to midnight on the second day. Excellent value for money in fact.
