Steve Hudson dies

ONE of the most respected of boat builders, Steve Hudson of SM Hudson Boatbuilders, has died following a short illness

He was one of the most respected of the country's boat builders, producing high quality traditional Josher type boats, that had such a distinctive shape that they were becoming to be known as Hudson type boats due to their very distinctive shape.

Still being produced

Like many others, his company was hit by the recession, but such was the quality of his boats and workmanship that there was still a demand, and boats are still being produced.

Only in his middle 50s, Steve is survived by his wife Dianne and three daughters.

His funeral will be held at 2pm on Friday December 19th at Loughborough Crematorium, LE11 2AF.  Funeral Directors H.Towell Funeral Services 0116 2302449.
