Teenager drowns in Huddersfield Narrow

A TEENAGER was found in the Huddersfield Narrow Canal on Saturday, and was pronounced dead later at hospital.

The 17 years old was discovered in the water near Trinity Street at Stalybridge in the afternoon, with the police pulling him out of the water, Alan Tilbury tells us.

'Unexplained'

Police are investigating how he came to be in the water, with his death being treated as 'unexplained', having no knowledge how he came to be in the water.

It has been told that the teenager was last seen outside a bookmakers in Stalybridge.
