Contradictory moorings signs removed

IT WAS our Keith Gudgin who pointed out the contradictory mooring signs at Fazeley Junction on the Coventry Canal, (Ambiguous visitor moorings) which have now been removed.

The ridiculous signs were two pointing towards each other stating seven days moorings yet one in the middle of the two stating 48 hours moorings, making it impossible for boaters to know how long they could moor.

Removed

Someone in authority must have read Keith's narrowboatworld article, as the signs have now been removed with just the bottom of the original posts left, cut off at ground level as can be seen from his photograph.

However, as other boaters tell us, and we often see ourselves, this is not an isolated case, as contradicting mooring notices appear all over the system, perhaps caused by new ones being put up differing from the old ones, that are not removed.
