IT IS the Mayor of Lancaster, Councillor June Ashworth, who will officially launch Glasson Mobile Marine Services, a call-out boat breakdown service.

She will be present at British Waterways Marina Ltd Glasson Basin Marina, Lancaster, on Tuesday 11th February, when the established workshop business, comprising Alistair Cunliffe and his team will provide a full call-out service to boat owners across the North West and Cumbria.

Having also signed into the RCR scheme as a responder, the new scheme will include narrowboats.

Reputation

We are told the team have a long established reputation of dedicated professional experience in fibreglass repair, osmosis and paintwork treatments, as well as lifting, rigging and topcoat finishing.

At the helm of the mobile service is Stuart Rushworth with over 17 years of workshop experience being a highly skilled topcoat finisher, who comments:

"As well as routine maintenance, if things go really wrong, we are well experienced at working alongside insurance companies and surveyors to make the process of getting your boat back in the water and ready for you to use as quickly and as pain free as is possible.

"With our skills and experience, we are ideally placed to meet the needs of leisure, commercial, inland and coastal craft owners, wherever they are based in the North West or Cumbria."
