Added Winter Works closes a waterway for a month

ANOTHER Winter Works has been added to the list.

This involves closing the Tame Valley Canal from tomorrow, Thursday 15th for a month, Keith Gudgin reports.

The stoppage lasting until the 15th of March.

Dewater the canal

It is for the trust's engineers to dewater the canal in order to carry out investigative and monitoring works between Rushall Junction and Perry Barr, Lock 13.

It is not stated what the investigation is for, but similar 'investigations' discovered leaks in a waterway.

Undertaking a 'search' brought-up 235 results of the word 'leak', though of course many could be more than one reference to a single waterway.
