Knew the 'method of repair'

IT WOULD seem that the trust was well aware of the 'method of repair' of the 'gate issues' of Lock 5 on the Regent's Canal.

It was late in the afternoon of last Saturday the 20th when it told that due to the 'lock not equalising' City Road Lock was inoperable, Keith Gudgin reports.

Yet by the following afternoon it has been repaired and the navigation reopened. So obviously its 'method of repair' was known this time.

Boaters have suggested to us that by now the 'method of repair' should be known for all eventualities.
