FOLLOWING the death of two men in the Avon at Bristol who lost control of their car, it plunging into the river, another body has been discovered, this time unexplained.

An inquiry is now taking place after a man's body was pulled from the Avon in Bristol, it being seen by members of the public floating in the water and recovered by police divers, Alan Tilbury tells us.

In his 20's

The body is of a man in his 20s, but has not yet been identified, with the police asking for anyone who saw anything appertaining to the drowning to come forward, as it is not known when the man entered the water.

At this time of the year with the water extremely cold, the shock of entering the water can be fatal, and with winter clothing virtually impossible to swim or even stay afloat.

A police spokesman advised:

"While trips and falls might happen, we'd strongly advise anyone against deliberately going in the water as what might seem like a harmless dip can go horribly wrong very quickly."
