All repaired

BOTH the Birmingham & Fazeley and Huddersfield Narrow canals stoppages have been lifted and both are now open.

It was a broken gate collar that closed the Birmingham & Fazeley and a sunken boat that closed the Huddersfield Narrow, Keith Gudgin tells us.

Repairs have taken place at one and the sunken boat has been lifted out of Lock 32E on the other, and both waterways are now open.
