Korea takes over Paddington property

KOREAN investors are taking over waterside properties, with the latest being the acquisition of Waterside House at Paddington Basin on the Regents Canal.

Waterside House is at present the headquarters of Marks & Spencer, but is now owned by the Korean investment company Gaw Capital Partners, it being the fourth such acquisition in the capital, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Largest regeneration developments

The development at Paddington Basin is regarded as one of the largest regeneration developments in Europe and is one hundred percent occupied by Marks & Spencer, where the property serves as its global headquarters.

There is a growing demand from Asian institutional investors in what they consider safe commercial and residential real estate in this country.
