1940's at museum

TAKING a leaf out of Stoke Bruerne's wartime week-end, The National Waterways Museum at Ellesmere Port is also staging a 1940's themed weekend.

Join the museum at Ellesmere Port on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th October for a free, family friendly weekend of 1940's nostalgia.

Victory Party

There will be an afternoon tea dance on both days and for those in the mood for something more up tempo, the museum is hosting an evening Victory Party on Saturday 26th from 7 to 11pm.

Entertainers will include Wingtip Windy, Lilli Moore and GI Jive. 1940s re-enactor groups will also be attending, including Northern Forties, Cheshire Home Front and UK Home Front.

Tickets are free but limited to 150 for each event. There is 1940's themed food and games will be available to guests and period dress is encouraged—but allied forces only.
