Anglers want to shoot seal

THE seal that lives in the Severn around Worcester is causing controversy as the anglers want to shoot it as it is feeding on 'their' fish.
There have been many sighting of the grey female seal in the river since last November, with the Angling Trust applying for a licence to shoot it.
Outcry
This however caused an outcry from both local 'seal watchers' and conservationists, but the plan was dropped after the seal was not seen since March.
But new sightings near Diglis Lock have raised the issue once more, with the anglers again wanting to kill it.
