Latest attempt to stop leak

THE latest attempt to stop the problem of Spouthouse Aqueduct leaking is to pump resin into its brickwork.

The Tame Valley Canal aqueduct has had a long standing problem with leaks, with various methods having been tried and failed, so the latest is the injection of a special resin, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Solve the problem

At a cost of £120,000 it is hoped this will solved the problem affecting the Grade II listed aqueduct once and for all.

Canal & River Trust Engineer, Ian Lane, explained there had been a number of attempt at repair of this Sandwell aqueduct.
