Email: No training

We have just come down the Five Rise Flight [Bingley] of locks on the Leeds & Liverpool.

We shared the locks with a family on holiday who had hired a boat from Pennine Cruisers, we could not be leave our ears when the family told us they had no idea how to work the locks and had not been given any training .

 

My wife loaned them the basic boaters guide book just so they could get some idea .

Do we have to wait until this practice of no tuition results in disaster before some one sees sense ?
