STILL another boater had to be rescued from the Avon when his boat was caught on the flooded river.

This time the unnamed boater made the mistake of mooring in the flooded part of the river overnight, and the river level dropped with his boat left stranded.

Tewkesbury

This occurred at Tewkesbury, with police, firefighters and even Severn Area Rescue Association being called out, with the boater having to be carried off his boat.

The boat had been moored on the flooded river in the same place for a number of days, with the river in flood, then became grounded when the level dropped.

Food poisoning

He was unable to do anything about it as he was suffering from food poisoning, having to be taken to Cheltenham General Hospital, suffering from suspected food poisoning.

The emergency services moved his boat to safer moorings.
