Massive waterside development

A MASSIVE development is planned for the regeneration of an 82 hectare area alongside the Lee Navigation in North London.

Named Meridian Water, it is proposed to be a new mixed-use waterfront community, and hailed as one of the capital's largest regeneration opportunities, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Master plan

The master plan, is for 5,000 new homes, three schools, and new high street retail shops together with a range of supporting community facilities.

Statistics of course come in to it, with the statement that it will create 3,000 new jobs.

Enfield Council's Cabinet Member for Business and Regeneration, Councillor Del Goddard, explains:

"Meridian Water will overcome years of decline and will create a fantastic waterfront development."
