Boater breaks his leg

AN AIR ambulance was called to get to a boater who broke a leg whilst attempting to get off his boat.

This was at Kings Langley on the Grand Union Canal yesterday evening (Wednesday), after the  94 years old man fell, and could not move, Alan Tilbury tells us.

The helicopter landed in a nearby recreation ground to the waterway, but it was found an ambulance could get near, so he was transported by road to Watford General Hospital. The East Anglia Air Ambulance was called because of its specialist equipment.
