Boat stuck under Eckington Bridge

ANOTHER boat has been stuck under Eckington Bridge on the Avon, again in flood conditions.
A couple and their pet dog had to be rescued from their narrowboat after in became jammed across an arch on Monday, and could not be moved, Alan Tilbury tells us.
It needed water rescue teams from Evesham and Worcester, together with a fire engine from Pershore to get the people and the dog off the boat, using an inflatable strip to get them to the bank.
