AFTER years of arguing between various parties, the massive Bath riverside development is underway at last.

It is even getting an extra £6 millions in addition to the £2 millions from the government-backed Homes and Communities Agency.

3,500 homes

The initial work on the mainly derelict 44 acres site has now started, that will eventually see around 3,500 homes and businesses being created.

Originally named Western Riverside, it is now being called Bath City Riverside, and it is featured in an exhibition currently open to the public at the Octagon from 9.30am to 7pm on Thursday and Friday, and Saturday from 9.30am to 4pm.
