A BOAT with six passengers capsized on the freezing Thames, with two passengers still missing.

Police in boats are searching the river for two missing men today (Monday) after a boat with six aboard capsized on the Thames near Shepperton.

Police concern

Four of those onboard are safe, but the police are concerned for the safety of two male passengers who have not yet been found.

The boat was by Pharoah's Island, the residential island in the Thames, and it is unlikely anyone would survive the freezing conditions of the water.

In addition to the search by boat, a police helicopter was called in, but there was no trace of the missing men.
