The lower part of the river has now been closed since 3rd August.
My boat is trapped in the upper section.
I pay a considerable licence fee but cannot access the system. The excuse given is lack of water but the upper part of the river is full with weirs running. This can only mean that there is a leak or breach which Canal & River Trust have not mentioned.
I hope that I shall be able to claim a refund on my licence as my boat is a prisoner in a short section of waterway with no way to join the network.
