THERE HAS BEEN TWO CLOSURES on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal within two days.
The first on Monday was rather serious with a leak suspected, that has closed the waterway between locks 11W and 20W, Keith Gudgin reports.
This now awaits the investigations of the local team.
Second stoppage
The second stoppage was yesterday, Tuesday, with a tail lock failure of Lock 29 making the lock inoperable.
This has closed the pounds between 24W and 29W, that with the former failure closes the navigation between locks 11W and 29W.
Once again the local team is investigating what is making the lock inoperable.
