The failure of Glovers Swing Bridge 33 yesterday, Thursday, due to a hydraulic leak making the bridge inoperable, makes it two stoppages this month so far.
Seven stoppages
That wasn't really too bad as stoppages on the Leeds &Liverpool Canal go, as including lack of water, there were seven stoppages in August, making it most difficult for boaters.
However the trust's engineers have attended site today to carry out inspections and have ordered the parts required to carry out the repairs.
