THE DUNSTALL BRIDGE parapet on the Coventry Canal has been hit yet again again by a vehicle.

It closing the navigation, Keith Gudgin reports.

As the results of so many vehicle strikes the parapet is leaning precariously over the waterway being in a most dangerous position.

Closed the waterway

This has closed the waterway as a precaution due to the condition of the structure and the potential risk to passing boats.

It is told that boaters should not attempt to pass beneath the bridge, considering the danger.

The bridge damage is being assessed by the trust's engineers and the navigation will remain closed until the structure has been made safe.
