TINSLEY FLIGHT ON THE Sheffield & Tinsley Canal, will be closed on the August Bank Holiday.

No volunteers
Obviously the trust has no volunteers either to take on the positions of helping boaters through the flight, but simply closed it to navigation.
The picture shows the bottom lock of the flight.
It is however understood to be a possibility of the flight being open on the Monday of the Bank Holiday.
This is the first time, to our knowledge, that this reason for closure has been given.
Strange
It is strange that no volunteers are available, as volunteers do help boaters through these locks, but perhaps not on a Bank Holiday.
Also boaters are able to work the locks themselves...
