LOCKS ARE CLOSED owing to lack of water on the Rochdale again.
This time vandalism is blamed for seven pounds being effected, Keith Gudgin reports.
The pounds that are closed are from Lock 9 to Lock 16.
Vandalism
With Canal & River Trust stating that this is a result of vandalism, the water levels around lock 14 Rochdale Canal, are too low to navigate.
To allow this pound to recover, the trust tells it is having to put a closure on the locks between 9 and 16.
This is the second time that vandals have been blamed for low water yesterday, Friday.
