PARTS OF THE LEE NAVIGATION are so low in water that boats are grounding.
These are now closed to navigation, Keith Gudgin reports.
This starts at Enfield Lock 13 and is to Ponders End Lock 14 and takes effect from today, Saturday.
Allow water to discover
To allow pound level to recover, both Ponders End Lock and Enfield Lock will be closed until levels stabilise and the level can be sustained.
The causes for the low water levels are not known and are under investigation.
When discovered, action will then be taken to solve the problem.
