The Promenade is now reaching the final stages of construction, with the first apartments at first floor level receiving kitchens, sanitaryware, and floor finishes.
Next stages
The next stages of the internal works will be to complete the second fixed M&E, install wardrobes and decorate, followed by commissioning of the apartment equipment. Second floor apartments are following the same internal sequence, with the first kitchens due to be installed next week.

External cladding works continue following some delay to progress due to clarifications with Building Control, with the scaffold due to start coming down at the end of June. Following this, the external works will commence, completing the services connections and finishing the external surfaces. Due to the delays with building control, the development is anticipated to complete 21st August 2026.
As the site becomes busier and more developed, materials will be stored in sections of the carpark. We are reviewing this regularly with Davlyn's Site Manager to keep space and disruption to a minimum.
Two new businesses
We are pleased to have announced in the last month the signing of two fantastic new businesses sure to be a great benefit to Mercians, in The Greedy Pig Butcher and Deli, offering a farm shop offer of quality local produce.
The Green Door Bakery, offering daily fresh breads, pastries, cakes and made to order sandwiches, including bake at home pizzas. Both businesses come with a wealth of experience and strong local following.
