A BOAT GETTING CAUGHT ON the cill of lock 12 of Bosley Flight of the Macclesfield Canal closed the flight.
This was on the 16th May, Keith Gudgin reports.
But when the boat was removed it was discovered that there was damage to the tailgates of Lock 12.
Reactive team
But now a reactive team from Canal & River Trust is on the site carrying out the necessary repairs with work expected to be completed this week if all goes well.
There is no navigation on the flight whilst the repairs are carried out.
