ONCE AGAIN THERE IS no way on or off the tidal Trent at Keadby, as the rail draw bridge has failed.
It cutting off the Stainforth & Keadby Canal, Keith Gudgin reports.
Last boating season saw this happening time and time again stopping navigation between the tidal Trent and the canal as the draw bridge failed.
Temperature too high
Then when the temperature became too high the bridge was automatically closed to navigation, it giving preference to the railway over the canal.
This stoppage however, we are told, is that the rail draw bridge is closed for navigation due to a pintle bolt which has sheared meaning the bridge cannot be opened.
There is hope that the fault will be assessed today and perhaps the bridge reopened.
