THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FACILITY at Etruria on the Caldon Canal been relocated into the Black Prince Marina on the Trent & Mersey Canal.
This is due to the Simpler Recycling legislation, Keith Gudgin reports.
This legislation includes a weight limit and the standard bin lorries exceed the permissible weight limit for the access road to the Caldon facility.
Relocated
Canal & River Trust tell that as a result, the refuse facility has been relocated approximately 400 metres north to Black Prince Marina on the Trent & Mersey Canal.
The new facility will accommodate all the required waste, it thus ensuring full compliance with Simpler Recycling regulations.
Access to the facility will be via the towpath and then through a gate secured with a BWB key.
