THE SINKING HOUSEBOAT ON THE CAM would be incredibly costly to remove tells Cambridge Council.

SunkCamAs it has no method of propulsion and the owner of the houseboat died in 2023, Janet Friend reports.

The council made a forced entry to the boat that may have caused damage to the window that appears to have disappeared into the river. (Image: CambridgeshireLive.)

Possible solutions to remove

The dilapidated houseboat can be seen from outside Jesus Green Lido, on the opposite side of the river and options for removing the houseboat are limited, according to the council, though it continues to investigate with partners the possible solutions to remove the boat.

Not only has it no means of propulsion but Baits Bite Lock remains closed, so its options would be incredibly costly as the owner has passed away.
