THE RECENT HIGH WINDS have brought a high voltage cable down onto a canal.
This is on the Staffs & Worcs with navigation and towpath closed, Keith Gudgin reports.
This occurred late yesterday, Saturday, at Ebstree Lock 27 at Kinver.
Could be power
There is the chance that there could still be power in the cables we are told, with the warning not to approach within at least 50 metres.
The police and National Grid have been informed.
LATEST—The cables have now been removed. But several trees remain down that will be subject to a separate closure notice shortly.
