Lock flight restrictions

TO HELP WATER LEVELS, restrictions will be in force from Wednesday 9th July.

This will affect Ryders Green Flight on the Walsall Canal, Hatton Flight on the Grand Union Canal and Wolverhampton Lock Flight on the Old Main Line, Keith Gudgin Reports.

These will be from 10am to 3pm.  With last entry varying depending on the length of the flight.

Oxford and Soar closed

On the Oxford Canal, Claydon Flight is restricted at present from 10am to 3pm with last boat in at 2pm

 Due to low water levels, the Soar is closed to navigation between Limekiln Lock 43 and North Lock 42.

Victoria Basin Swing Bridge on the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal is closed, we are told, due to hot weather.

Rochdale Canal between locks 48 and 83 remains closed.
