Keadby Rail Bridge reliant on temperature

KEADBY RAIL DRAWBRIDGE opening for boats is now reliant on temperature.

It will only open for boats to pass through if the temperature is below 15c, Keith Gudgin reports.

Vazons Bridge on the Stainforth & Keadby Canal will only be operated between the early hours of 4am to 7am providing the temperature is satisfactory.

This has been decided by Network Rail.

It has decided that the bridge operations during these times will not require plant staff to be physically present on site. However, they will remain on call should any issues arise.

This will remain in force, it tells, until the 1st August.
