Another breach on the Macc?

CANAL & RIVER TRUST have told of a 'leak' on the Macclesfield Canal.

This being between bridges Bridge 26 and Bridge 27 at Bollington, Keith Gudgin reports.

This being in addition to the present breach between Crowholt Bridge 52 and Locketts Bridge 53 that occurred in late March that was also then described as a 'leak', and is still in the process of being repaired nearly three months later. (Pictured.)

Stop planks installed

The trust tells that stop planks are being installed at Sugar Lane Bridge 26 and Kerridge Road Bridge 27, to allow investigation of the cause of the 'leak', that will take place today, Thursday.

But will it be just a leak, or as the previous one, turn out to be yet another breach... The trust is asking those with boats in this area to move them away from the site.
