Free boating on the Avon

FREE TASTER BOATING is being offered by Anglo Welsh at Bradford-on-Avon Marina.

Sunday April 27th will see the boating offered from 11am to 4pm when newcomers can take short trips on narrowboats and view holiday hire boats at the same time, Janet Friend reports.

No booking is needed, but trips will be on a first come, first served system.

Darren Fisher, Anglo Welsh's manager at the marina, explained:

"We look forward to welcoming people to Bradford-on-Avon Marina to enjoy a free canal boating taster session aboard one of our day boats.  This is a great way for people to find out what makes canal boat holidays so special and to have a go at steering the boat." 

This event is one of six open days being held by the company across the navigable waterways on the 27th.

Prices for 2025 canal boat holidays start at £910 for short breaks and £1,245 for week long hire.
