Swing bridge repaired and then closed again—and again!

WE REPORTED THAT Micklethwaite Swing Bridge was out of order but repaired late on Tuesday 8th of this month.

But the repair on this Leeds & Liverpool Canal swing bridge did not last, as it failed again the following day, the 9th, but this time quickly repaired and open, as Keith Gudgin reported.

But alas, this morning, the 11th, comes a notice that it has failed again!

After one repair it was told the wedges caused the closure, then told it was the software.

Being told that the M&E team have attended and discovered an issue with the bridge software which they are working to resolve.

But it seems that they did not.
