It gets worse for Amy

It has just got worse, writes Amy Dickerson.

Diglis Large Lock on the Severn at Worcester is now closed until further notice because of a paddle failure.

How long will that take to repair? I will have to overstay here, because if I move I will have to moor up in bandit country between Kidderminster & Stourport.

Amy  had written to tell Victor that she had never got through Bevere Lock, but still moored at Wolverine Court Lock on the Staffs & Worcs. adding:

Five to six weeks hanging around

I have spent 16 days cruising and will have had five to six weeks hanging around because of stoppages.

Had two weeks because of Morris’ Lift Bridge out of commission and will be three to four weeks waiting to get to Gloucester.

In the meantime my dog died of old age last week, I have lost my shadow. She went everywhere with me. Still have my cat on the boat.
