Marple Flight problems prevent them cruising
I FEEL I must write to you concerning Marple Flight, as we moor above the flight on the Peak Forest, writes John Dawes.
It seems that the flight is more closed that it is open as it was closed on the 1st of September and it is still closed, with excuse after excuse for the men working on a Lock 7 who obviously haven't a clue.
It was closed in August with a problem with the same lock that was repaired, and then out of action again, that to me means they made a hash of it.
We are stuck
The excuses for it still being out of action come time after time after time, meaning that we are stuck, for there is always problems with the Macclesfield with either leaks or the Bosley Flight out of action it all meaning that we cannot go anywhere with both Marple and the Macclesfield closed.
Mind you for those who call themselves continuous cruisers are happy as they have an excuse for staying moored near the supermarket at the end of the Peak Forest, but not for us who wanted to cruise.
