Will there be any left?

FOLLOWING on the two winter works that were cancelled by Canal & River Trust yesterday, comes another one.

This now making seven that will not be undertaken, Keith Gudgin reports.

Yesterday, Friday 1st November, was the start of the winter works, but there are already seven that are off the list, making it look even more like an exercise in showing such a large amount of work that will be done this winter.

Nothing like the number

But nothing like the number on that list will be undertaken if cancellations are to continue at the pace they have been doing.

The current cancellation is the work repairing Crofton Lock 55 on the Kennet & Avon with our being told the work will be on locks 51 and 52 at Wooton rivers instead, as more in need.
