Quotes received for repair of damaged Trent moorings

THE Canal & River Trust state that quotes have been received to repair the damaged Trent moorings.

These are the Dunham visitor moorings that were badly damaged in the winter floods of last December, Keith Gudgin reports.

Unsafe to use

Ever since, the northern side of the pontoon on Dunham visitor moorings has remained unsafe to use.

This is on the tidal river where moorings are important should the river come into flood or with a high tide—or both.

All we are told however is that the trust now have quotes for the work and equipment required to make the pontoon safe again.  But not when.
