Another 'leak' takes the team off Audlem Flight repair

A 'leak' on the Llangollen has taken the team off the Audlem Flight repair on the Shropshire Union Canal.

This new problem is listed as an 'urgent leak' and has closed the canal, Keith Gudgin reports.

As an emergency, the team at the Audlem Flight has been called to help with the repair on the Llangollen, to prevent further damage.

Return today

The team will return to attend to the Shropshire Union leak today, Friday, when the new delivery of materials for the Audlem repair is scheduled to arrive.

Once the materials are received, work at Audlem will begin and the canal will be reopened as quickly as possible.

The leak is between locks 10 and 11 on the Audlem Flight.
