Person still missing from capsized boat

THERE has still been no sight of the man who fell from a capsized boat on the Thames and disappeared.

He was one of four people falling into the river near Sunbury on Friday when what is now described as a small rowing boat. capsized with the three other people rescued.

Three saved

It was reported that there were six people in the boat, but a spokesman for Weybridge Rowing Club has now told that there were four people, with a rowing coach accompanying them in another boat, adding that it was thankful that three of the crew in the rowing craft were saved and have been treated at hospital, but distressingly one of its members is still unaccounted for.

Surrey Police told it was called to Sunbury Lock at around 8.50am on Friday to reports of a small boat capsizing. The search for the man is still continuing having entered its third day.

The search having been extended as the river is in flood.
