Too much water!

THE Grand Union Canal has too much water!
Following the recent heavy rainfall, Canal & River Trust state the canal has 'burst its banks' at Stoke Bruerne Bottom Lock. Keith Gudgin reports.
This occurred yesterday, Tuesday, and means the whole flight from Top Lock 14 to Bottom Lock 20 is as present unnavigable with Canal & River Trust staff on site.
Doing all they can
People have been on site since yesterday morning and are doing all they can to manage the water levels.
It is not stated if 'burst its banks' is the actual fact or hypothetical, and water has simply gone over the banks after the heavy rain.
A boat has been caught in the flood and has drifted blocking the navigation, with its removal being organised.
