Quick local team repairs

WIGAN Flight on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal had a 'structure failure' with the flight locked on Monday the 26th.

We are not informed of the reason for the stoppage, only that it was attended to the following day by the local team that had it repaired and the navigation reopened.

Staffs & Worcs

Then Tuesday 27th saw the Staffs & Worcs closed at Kidderminster Lock 6 with a snapped collar closing the navigation. But again the local team came to the rescue and it was repaired and again the navigation reopened this time on the same day!

 Certainly make a difference to when contractors having to find 'a 'method of repair' are involved.
